What you're describing is called clairvoyance. There are people in the real world who claim to have this ability, but it has never been scientifically proven to be possible. Personally, I would say that as long as a thing has actually happened or is happening, it is not inconceivable that a person with an extraordinary and as-yet-uncharacterized ability would be able to somehow sense the event in a way that is not part of the classical five senses.
