having lived there in the past...if you don't mind a commute of an hour or less...I would HIGHLY recommend a "burb" of Seattle...5 in particular...Federal Way, Kent, Renton, Auburn, or a bit farther but very reasonable Puyallup.
I would stay away from Tukwila (too industrial) and South Seattle (run down) Auburn is more foresty, Kent down highway 18 is bordering on mountains. A bit of a travel but gorgeous...head towards NorthBend!
