I'm a French speaking Belgian dude who's interested in Indian culture and traditional music.
Up to now, I had never found myself on Yahoo! India.

One last detail: please, NO "foreign guy who-lives-there answers". I wanna meet genuine Indian fellaz.

I'm an open-minded guy, which means I welcome any kind of answer:
> easy-talking ones
> shiningly welcoming ones
> jokes
> atypic arguments
> fun-for-free answers
> etc...

But, please.. don't send me anything that'd sound like an accusation of being a Western guy! Cuz you gotta know my Father escaped a poor, communist country (Romania) in the late sixties with intent to provide me freedom-of-expression. Same for my Mother whose family consists of Russian political refugees who found shelter in the EEC.

So, India! I'm awaiting your worldwide-known hospitality!!
Impress-me...

[I've been wasting my time on Yahoo! Q/A for a few weeks without asking any question ( So, my "proof of respect" will be to ask my FIRST question here!]

Hey Belgian Dude !
Nice to know that ppl like you exist....who are actually interested in learning abt other cultures & traditions. Especially in this age of fear & paranoia.
I hope you get the answers you are seeking for......In learning abt India I assure you that you will broaden your horizen and become more accepting of things.
It would also be nice for us to know something about Belgian culture. Right now i know abt your world famous chocolates & the Diamonds.

Let me be frank.MY Italian friend was cheated by so called swamiji and left for Italy heart broken.India is a good place but you will fleeced by Taxi,Autio,Beggers ,small shop keepers the moment they see you are a foriegner

But India is free country with religious political freedom which is equal to the best in the world

Not many speak French.

Please without a plan do not come to India. You need a few good people.Particurly rural parts of India are not best place to visit with violence etc
