Clearly liberals have an unrealistic view of the world,and this is but one fine example,they believe that all protection of the people should be entirely up to law enforcement.Even when law enforcement acknowledges they cannot be there except to investigate and prosecute but not to protect,they are so obsessed with their stance against self protection that they ignore evidence which flies in the face of their view,like the fact that every country that has outlawed firearms has seen an increase in overall crime rates and that every state in the US that has enacted concealed carry has seen a decrease in violent crime.It simply doesn't fit their utopian world view so they ignore or deny.

There is a major difference between defending yourself and attacking another country. We had more than enough info to defend ourselves against 9/11, and did nothing to stop it. Going to Iraq to fight is nothing more than after the fact.
