in some modern other symbols are used
So you have to refer to you manual guide to see which key is used for the exponent.

But in general if we sue the symbol ^ as the symbol of the exponential key , then the following steps are used to evaluate your expression
Press the following keys in order
1. 32
2. ^
3. (
4. 4
5. /
6. 5
7.)
The final result will be 16
Notes the brackets used in the steps 3 and 7 to force the calculator to evaluate the exponent 4/5 before raising the base 32 to the exponent 4/5, otherwise the calculator will raise the base 32 to the power 4, which gives the answer 1048576 then it divides by 5, that is the final answer will be 2009715.6

just type 32, then press x^y, then type 0.8 and press =

there should be a y^x function key on there...just plug in the numbers...
