If my husband acted the way you are acting, he would have to cook for himself permanently. Some people do not have the same skills that others have. I cook and am good at it. Maybe you should have handled things a little differently. You should have asked if she wanted to attend a cooking class to enhance her skills. Don't ever tell a woman she is a bad cook. Looks like you will be cooking for a while!

Cook the meal for everyone, two wrongs don't make a right.
Then talk to her maybe get her a cook book, not everyone has cooking skills inbreaded in them. As far as the cleaning goes, I hope you are willing to pitch in and help then maybe she'll put more effort into it.

I think the username just about sums up your question and comments, don't you? I suppose we're supposed to scream and shout about you being sexist, macho, sexist pig etc etc etc but nah, I think that's just what you want. Surely you can't REALLY be an @rsehole, can you?
Ok I know I just screwed up any chance I *might* have had to get 10 points for best answser but hey, at least I gave you an honest opinion/answer and to my mind that's more important. Oh well, c'est la vie.
Just remember a certain Charles Bobbitt and an old proverb/saying which might be worth remembering too ... Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned! Don't say you've not been warned.

Do what I do, take the lid off the bin, then throw the contents of the plate/pan/whatever in shouting, you never appreciate what I do for you!
Neither of you will speak for a few days, but hey, the peace and quiet is nice.

Open mouth and insert foot .... dude you are so in trouble !!!!
Take the kids to McDonalds, put them to bed early, buy a bottle of wine & flowers and apologize, apologize, apologize.
So what if she's not the best cook or housekeeper in the world, I bet she's a great wife in all other aspects and wonderful mom..... thank your lucky stars..... and you better start telling her all the great things she does and not just the not-so-great.

neither, you should cook a meal for all of you, and tell her to just relax she overreacted. Tell her no hard feelings, you'll do the cooking today, but you wish she would try a few new recipes in the future. You were just being honest
