I have 2 Firefox.exe's in my task manager one which opens teh normal browser and the other which is not associated with any window on my machine. It is a rogue firefox process that starts from the same location as the original (Checked on Process explorer). If i try and kill it it starts up again automatically and immediately even though the original one may not be running.

I want to track which process is starting this firefox. Can anyone help

Look in your directory
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs
This shows which one is responsible for starting up Firefox.

Try completely installing all Firefox installations. Then go to your Program File folder and manually delete the Firefox folders there.
This should wipe out any trace of Firefox so when you reinstall you will get only installation. Then things should be fine.
