I've learned that I am able to withstand and endure much more pain that I ever thought I could. Each time that point arrives where I cannot take another step... I do. It's never easy and I need to trust beyond myself.

In other words, I've learned that I don't have to flee when pain is coming straight at me. It becomes a deeper love... eventually. ♥

but it so true. In life there must be balance. And without pain.... we wouldn't know pleasure. So, if nothing else, I've learned that if I can forge through the pain....I know that pleasure lies somewhere along the way....and I will stumble upon it again. Besides, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right?

I really take a lot of solace from a quote by Aeschylus -

"Who, except the gods, can live time through forever without any pain?"

So pain is to be expected...and besides how could we really appreciate happiness if we didn't have pain in our lives to give us some perspective?

Yes...that life is full of painful moments and that the best thing you can do in order to cope is to be able to pick up your pieces after you fall and just keep going...
