well the answer is yes and no
i know many couples who met and work and still work in the same company and they are perfectly fine
however, the problems start when the two are working close together and also if one of them is the others boss
if this is the case its an absolute NO NO
things go really nasty when / if they break up and trust me most cases one of them ends up leaving the job....
but if the two are working in diff departments and are not directly each others superior / subordinate then a good relationship can be maintained

Just like any relationship, it's what you make of it. I am married to a former co-worker. We didn't let our relationship get in the way of our work. In fact, I think it actually helped make things better for the company.
I've seen it backfire on several couples though. If you break up, work will never be the same.

They can, but you have to think of the long term and how it could affect your working relationship. If you were to fall out and both of you were to stay in that job, think how difficult it could be. Imagine if everyone took the side of your ex partner and not you. I think the relationship could work but it would be made tough by the fact you'd see each other at home and at work. There would be nowhere to have your own space and nowhere to have that gossip!

doesnt matter where you meet a person - relationships either work out or they dont - I know several people who met through work and either broke up or got married. I dont think the fact that you work together is an issue - unless you like to have your own space and object to having your partner around you all day!

i met my current boyfriend through work, i'm in office, he's a driver and things are going very well. We dont work from same branch but see each other most days cos he pops into my office.
We were a bit worried about how management would take it but as it doesnt interfere with our work its fine!!!
I really do hope it works out between us, i see a good future between us!

I met my fiance at work and we have been together for 5 years+ and have worked at two companies together but prefer it when we have time at home together rather than at work, unless you run the company together it's probably not all that good for a relationship

I'm still with my partner, we've worked togather for nearly 2 years and have been together nearly the same amount of time (he was a fast mover). I'm the happiest i've ever been!

I have had several in the past myself while I was single... I guess they all worked, each of each and every one of these women were married and wanting someone on the side. Everyones needs were met, so it's all good...

Not in a small office. What would you have to talk about at home.
