Beautiful surroundings - has to be Glen Affric
Culture - You canny beat Edinburgh
Architecture - now I'm going to have to say York (sorry)
But all in all, I would go for the Trossachs. Try Callendar. it's beautiful and right in the middle of spectacular scenery.
Or Skye

Reading some of the answers, I have to agree that Cornwall is beautiful, but I wouldnt say that the culture and architecture are what does it. It has beautiful countryside, lots of history and some lovely 'picture postcard' villages - but for the whol picture I would go with somewhere like Bath, where you have all three, and surrounded by beautfiul countryside too - the architecture is beautiful, there's a lot going on in the city, culturally etc etc

Been a Yorkshire lass myself I know we have some beautiful places, culture and surroundings, but I also love Scotland, parts of Wales, Cornwall is beautiful in every way shape and form as is Devon, I love Southern Ireland and hopefully will soon be saying the same about Northern Ireland too as were going for a long weekend in November, we have some beautiful places in the UK and its just so hard pinpointing just one place, sorry.

actually I love britain/Uk! It is one of the best places full of culture and history! If i have to recommend a place in UK,i would say Cotswold. I was there for two days and one night four yrs ago and I never forget that place ever! In fact i wish i could stay longer. Another place that i love to visit Scotland Highlands! It's all those romance novels that are based on Scottish Highlands that spoilt me! Men running around in kilts! Yummy! Lake District is also beautfiful. I always fancy rowing a boat in the area myself.
So actually it's the peaceful and beautiful countryside that draws me to these places

Oh, my. I've never been out of the U.S. so this is a tough one for me. Anything I've seen has been on the television & pictures can sometimes be misleading.
Although I'd love to tour the whole region & in particular Scotland, with the stipulations on the question, I'd have to say that London would be my first choice. The shows I've seen reference all three when talking about this city.

It has to be Derbyshire. Especially near Chatsworth. Driving towards Sheffield, you go over a lip on the peaks and Sheffield spreads out before you.
Its pretty good, can't get much better.

Edinburgh, I love the stone buildings and every evening there is always a choice of several music venues.
