I have the same problem to the point that my husband didn't want me turning on the stove or oven without him being home. Some people are meant to cook, others aren't. What can you do? Divorce her because she burns your food? She's eating it too, isn't she? Maybe you should try teaching her how to cook. That would benefit you and you never know what will happen in the kitchen!!!

You should always forgive your wife; what's the alternative? Some people just can't cook. Did you marry her so that she could cook for you? If you want her to share in the "cooking" duties, perhaps sandwiches are in order a couple times a week.

maybe you should make sure you have leftovers on the days she's supposed to cook. It's nothing against you... she just can't cook. She may need to turn the oven heat down 25 degrees lower than a recipe asks for and set the timer for 10 minutes less time.

Or you could just send her to jail.

Everytime. give her some lessons or make her do all the cooking all the time. she will get better with practice. she is most likely burning on purpose so you will cook. I should try that

Count yourself lucky you don't live in our house. I rarely cook for the other half and out of the times I do, I'd say 80% get launched into the bin.

If this is the worst problem in your marriage you're a lucky man. Women aren't born knowing how to cook. Since you're good at cooking, offer to help her learn. It will help both of you. Meanwhile, change your attitude about her. That will help both of you too.

Just because she is a woman doesn't mean that she is guaranteed to know how to cook well...If it's in your budget, suggest you guys take a cooking class together. She'll learn something and it can be something fun for you guys to do.
