"Never Cry Wolf" starring Charles Martin Smith. This was based on a true story of a guy who went up to Canada to study wolves because they thought wolves were responsible for the thinning caribou herds, but all he ever saw the wolves eat were field mice. There's also a great part where, to see whether a 150+ pound mammal can live on mice alone, he begins catching, cooking, and eating the mice himself.
