Yes when my wife was pregnant the smell of cigarette smoke made her sick. That ******** shouldn't smoke around you now anyway.

Make him cover up with something when he goes outside to smoke and leave it outside. Don't let him bring anything in the home that smells like smoke. Make him wash his face and hands every time he comes in from smoking. I smoke and that's what I do because I don't want my baby to be around smoke. It's a lot of trouble, but if I want to smoke it's just what I have to do.
I know how you feel. When I was pregnant the smell of EVERYTHING made me throw up! I couldn't cook for 9 months. I was still puking the day my son was born.
The only way to relieve your sickness is to get away from what is making you sick. Is there anywhere else you can go?

Yes this is very normal!!! It should subside but then again it may not. Smell is a very important to any mammal, if it's making you sick try to explain nicely that you need them to stop smoking wearing perfume around you. When I was preg. I lost my appetite for hamburgers I couldn't even go into a restraunt, I would throw up, yet I developed a craving for the smell of gasoline

You should really consider a different living arrangement or have your roommate quit smoking while you are pregnant.

Even second hand smoke can cause low birthweight babies and other health problems.

For your odor problems, I would try Febreeze. It will help to mask some of the smells you are trying to deal with.

Start looking for another roomate situation, or start looking for your own place. Its really hard to live with people when you have your own child. It changes things dramatically. I would start applying for low income housing while you are pregnant so when the baby is born maybe you will be in your own home. You can still go to school and take care of your baby. You would just be in a more sutiable home situation for you and your baby.

Every smell is going to bother you. I was at work (retail) and this guy was spraying perfume right next to my register. I asked him to stop. Eventually I puked all over the floor and on his shoes. I could have used a trash can but I was making a point.

It's very normal. Just stay away from smoking area, it's not good for you or the baby.

sorry...there's not much you can do about it. Some things make people really sick. Stay away from all the people who makes you sick until you get over that 3 month nautia stage
