Yes. You can place your HD through an xray machine.

Xrays might affect film in cameras.

Do not take your hard drive through a metal detector though. The magnetic field used to detect metal objects may be enough to zap your HD.

CDs and DVDs are not affected by either.

Should be ok. XRAYS dont pentrate through metal and even if they did, they don't affect the magnetic media on the discs.
