Hi does anyone hurt down below when they urinate first thing in the morning, i do get cysitius quite alot, but usually it hurts everytime i urinate, bu this only hurts in the morning. I dont know what it could be, sometimes it goes for like a week and then it could come back. I havent got any stds as i have been going out with the same guy for 6 years we were virgins when we met and we have never cheated on each other, thats just before anyone relates it to that. Could it be to do with hormones or something, i know my doctor wont be of much help, i dont know what to do. But i just want to know if anyone else has had these symtoms before, i dont need to urinate alot and i havent go lower abdominal pains like you get with a water infection, Thanks

I thought it could have been thrush but i have tried the canestan once tablet and cream, but its still the same. I dont know with some thrush cases would i need anti biotics if these dont work. Ive never had thrush, and i dont know how i can just get it if ive never had it in my life before.

I get it a lot too its bloody awful isnt it?! If its 1st thing then its probably because the urine is more concentrated in the morning and will hurt more if your tubes are inflamed. Try drinking Cranberry juice (tastes yeuch at first but its quite nice when you get used to it) If you wake in the night needing a wee then dont hold it in and go relieve yourself, try a bath before bed time with a few drops of tea tree oil and try have a good drink of water. Dont use soaps on your privates just water, i find the soap sets mine off.
If this doesnt work just go and see your doc and tell him you think you have a mild infection. Its his problem that he is unsympathetic, think about switching we all need a good doctor. You can have cystitis without abdominal pain etc, if you get it a lot it could be that you just arent quite getting rid of it properly and its just there waiting to flair up again. I once had it on and off for weeks and my doc said this can happen, we just cant quite manage to shake it off. I dont hesitate to go and get some antibiotics now. Good luck, DONT put up with a useless doctor its easy to change to a new one.

It's possible that you have a very mild infection and the symptoms are only showing up as because your urine is at it's highest concentration in the morning.
Cut out the tea and switch to unsweetened cranberry juice or plain water. If you're still getting symptoms after a few days then you will need to go to the Dr's, as untreated infections can cause other urinary tract problems.
The best advice I can suggest for future prevention is for you to empty your bladder after you have had sex, because having sex can massage bacteria up your urethra causing the repeated infections.
Oh and following up on one of the posts, it's unlikely to be a gall bladder problem!!

I don't know why you say your doctor won't be of much help - if HE can't help you, how/why do you suppose people here can help you who aren't medically qualified? Even if symptoms were similar, it might not be relevant or the same problem(s) which you are experiencing!
And if you REALLY don't feel up to seeing your doctor, you could go to a clinic and see a eurologist who specialise in the urinary system. Of course there's always a possibility it could be a type of STD perhaps, if you'll forgive the suggestion ... but get it checked out so you can be sure and good luck.

You need to have a UA C&S (urinalysis, culture and sensitiviy)done by a doctor's office or a clinic.
Drinking plenty of fluids especially cranberry juice will help to lower the acid levels in your bladder.
You may want to take cranberry in the form of pills if you don't want to drink a lot of the juice.
Make sure you do not have a temperature.

Urine is at it's strongest in the morning with the first pee !!! You could hand in a sample to the docs to make sure it's not a recurring infection ! The best way to get rid of it yourself is by drinking cranberry juice x

Sounds like cystitis, but as you said you get it quite a lot, you would know the symptoms. Do you drink or eat a lot of acidic foods? Perhaps you need to look into that. Otherwise, ask to be refered to a gynaecologist for further investigation, if you feel your doctor wont be of much help...good luck

It could be the concentration or acidity of your urine. Go steady on the fruit juice or wine etc, just drink water or milk or something later at night.

Make an appointment to see a Urologist thru your doctor, they will diagnose the problem quickly for you, then you will get some relief. Don't worry! it's not life threatening, probably just a 'woman's' thing. Good luck.

It could have some thing to do with IBS irritable bowel syndrom.
It comes in many forms and may be due to what you eat the night before.
Just a thought check it out properly
