It depends on your partner's deffinition. Some partner's would consider only physical relations to be cheating, while others consider any sexual/emotional/romantic relation with any other person in any way to be cheating! The best thing I believe to do would be to have a conversation with your partner about what he/she thinks is considered cheating. Be careful how you phrase your questioning though, he/she may take it the wrong way. I suggest easing into asking during a conversation pertaining to such things. The most important thing in this type of situation is communication and understanding. He/she may be curious about it him/her self!
