First off, having an IQ between 120-135 is pretty good.

I guess having a high IQ does have its advantages, especially when you get concepts clearly and faster than other people (it's amazing what some of these people can do and talk about). But really, a lot of people that I knew who had genius IQs were extremely unsatisfied with people around them, and they've lead antisocial, miserable lives. And I've met other high IQ individuals who were extremely happy-go-lucky, but they never bragged about how smart they were.

They also came from different backgrounds. IQ is not a determinant of wealth or status; you're more likely to predict your material success through your race, gender, and familial background.

Also, I could be wrong, but I've been told that the national average IQ is actually 117 and not 100.

Depending on the mean and standard deviation of the IQ test.....usually between 85-115 standard score is within the average range. 120-129 is considered superior and above 130 is very superior. A higher IQ may help qualify you very a gifted program in school. Usually IQ tests are given to qualify students for special education (based on a discrepancy model). If your IQ is within the average range and your academic scores are 15 points lower....that person may qualify for learning disability services. Below 70 helps students qualify for Mental Impairment services.

Otherwise, IQ may not mean much of anything unless you have motivation to succeed. It just shows that you have the ability to succeed. High IQ also does not correlate with bad social skills.

Imtelligence is not equally shared, no more than wealth or talent is. A high IQ in itself proves nothing. But it suggests you MAY be able to cope better with life's challenges. I was measured at 150 by Mensa once [a lomg time ago!] When going to join their organisation found the members were ripping it to bits with irreconcilable differences. I walked away and got on with my job of fixing cars!

Ana average IQ is 100 by the way so at 125-135 you are not exactly dull. Why not get yourself a life while you still have a brain?

The high IQ is considered abnormal by the psychologist.

One should have normal IQ. To be considered a normal human being.

You can never be to rich or to thin, or too smart.

Just look at Paris Hilton. Rich, thin and as smart as a container full of left over meatloaf.
