Well if in the relationship two people share in the true compassion for one another. Then both shall be the providers. I believe men can be very nurturing as well as women.I just recently told a man an old saying I can bring home the bacon, fry it up in the pan and never let you forget you're a man for me that means nurturing as well. signed, born2damromantic

I don't think there are roles. Each relationship should discuss
feelings, desires, goals and if both agree on enough things to
feel satisfied then stay together. If things change down the line,
be willing to listen and re-negotiate.

Im not really sure.

I think women have taken on even more, alot of women work, and then still have to come home to tend to the household chores ad kids etc etc.

I read a survey not long ago that women still do 70% of household duties even if they work fulltime.....That doesnt sound equal to me!!

The roles are whatever you make them
you can both be providers and nurturers

In general, the roles remain as they were, but exceptions are more abundant and acceptable today.
