No, you're right Bush is just the worst US President ever. The only worse horror I can imagine would he were to die in office and then we had to deal with the two most feared words in the english language:
"Presdient Cheney"...........
ewwwww I can't even joke about that!

Short memory? Let me refresh it. Some of the worst:
1. CARTER. His "leadership" was weak and ineffective.
2. Kennedy and LBJ. Started the Viet Nam war, which led to the military's impotence in dealing with terrorism during Carter's presidency.
3. Harding. His entire cabinet was horribly corrupt, and everyone knew it. It was partly his domestic policies which led to the Great Depression. Coolidge also contributed.
These are only in the 20th century. I could go farther back, if necessary.
So no, President Bush is not the worst, not by far. Anyone who says he is hasn't studied history.

I think that he is one of the best. He has dealt with an attack on American soil, and we haven't been attacked since. He does what he thinks is right without concern fr poll numbers. He is brave and moral....no matter what your CNN tells you.
Carter was the worst....Many of the problems that we face today are due to the inaction of Carter...the economy under him was the worse since the depression.

Ulysses S.Grant was a great general but not a great president.
"Grant was personally honest, but he not only tolerated financial and political corruption among top aides, he protected them once exposed. He blocked civil service reforms and defeated the reform movement in the Republican party in 1872, driving out many of its founders. The Panic of 1873 pushed the nation into a depression that Grant was helpless to reverse. Presidential experts typically rank Grant in the lowest quartile of U.S. presidents, primarily for his tolerance of corruption. In recent years, however, his reputation as president has improved somewhat among scholars impressed by his support for civil rights for African Americans."

Bush is the worst ever! Reason being, Mr Bush finds it a major feat to string a sentence together. Very Un-Presidential like if you ask me.

Well I'm not sure he's the worst, because I don't know much about the first presidents but if he's not the worst of all times he's one heck of a runner-up.

There hasn't been enough time to judge Bush's presidency although many historians are already saying that this is the case.

I personally would vote for Reagan as far as my personal experience. The economy was terrible under him, you couldn't pay someone to give you a job. Iran-contra. And to boot, he was incapacitated for much of his second term due to his Alzheimer's.
