Not sure whether you're asking (a) Which of the two colours goes best with gold, or (b) What colour would go with all three colours?!! If it's (a), then I would say that purple and gold is a very rich combination (always reminds me of church hierarchy). Whereas green and gold is a little more understated and refreshing. Depends where these colours are being used and for what occasion. If it's (b), then I would say good old neutral cream would look good with any of those colours, or yellow if you want to be vibrant (same colour spectrum as cream).

They actually all go together!!!
Green and Gold = Green Bay Packers! (they suck)
Purple and Gold = my high school colors!!!

well they both look good but if those colors are on your clothes, I would say green+gold b/c it gives a trendy look but if it'S home decorating or something, I would go with purple+gold..

In my opinion, black, brown and red go the best with gold.
purple goes nice with light grey, white, pink and black. Green also goes good with grey, brown, off-white, white and black.
But if I have to chose I will go with green.
