of course you can use them. Indian babies eat what their parents make and it is not bland veggies. Go for it

Of course it's fine! If they don't like it then tone it down a little. My children all love spicy food even as children. By spicy I mean red peppers! They loved cinnamon, garlic, cumin etc. I would start out by putting a little of the "highly" flavored stuff over some rice, noodles, or potatoes and then progress from there.

9 years or 9 months???
For children under 2 years old it is not good and for under 1 year it can be dangerous.Even using tomato ot strawberry is not recomended as some children are allergic.
By the way tasty food disturbs the power of tounge for distinguishing the taste. On the other hand it has some side effects on liver.Garlic is hot in nature and can be allergic and cause rash and pimples.
How can you do that with your child. It is a baby.Do you like visiting lots od doctors?!
Only feed her/him with safe food. When she/he becomes older ,little by little will get used to your cooking.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with feeding a nine-month old the family food...as long and he/she is capable of eating it, usually they love getting introduced to new flavors...it keeps eating fun for them and keeps them trying new things (always a good thing given that if they don't learn this now, you're sure to be dealing with a very picky eater down the road!) Just watch for any signs of allergy as with anything new, and have fun!

usually your supposed to hold off the salt till about 1 year.... black pepper i think is a little too strong for a baby. I would wait till a year, if your baby likes the tastes he'll like them later on as well.

way too soon ,your baby will get used to your cooking later but now it could make him sick ,plan food only and one thing at a time so as to find what baby is able to handle ,you may find if you feed him like this that he will develop an allergy to your food,

Babies need weening on to new flavors a little at a time. The one's you mention sound good and healthy. The kid will soon let you know if he or she doesn't like something!

umm i wont you dont know how the baby would react...if they are allergic or uncommon with the ingredients...you should wait abit...you are questioning wether to give thwe baby any food, therefore there is doubt in your mind...why risk it...its only food you have cooked...there is plenty of time...i would wait...

i don't think i would..
even when my kids were toddlers we didn't feed them anything remotely spicy.
we kept everything really bland until about 2-2 and a half-ish.
