The Tudors were the dynasty founded by Henry Tudor who became Henry VII of England (and Wales). After the last Tudor (Elizabeth I), the crown of England was offered to the King of Scotland (JamesVI) who then became the first Stuart king as James I of England. This continued until the House of Hanover took over with George I.
