I suggest two things : first, say "hi" to women, and make it a habit... This makes it easier for you to ask her other questions about her, because the two of you already have some sort of a connection from saying "hi..." Then look at her, and find some detail about her that is unusual..it could be a bracelet, necklace, even a briefcase! Then say to her, "That's an unusual necklace (or whatever)... I haven't seen one like it before... What's the story behind that?" "What's the story behind that?" is a great, open-ended question that is really good for getting a woman talking, and sharing with you... ;)

The best way to start a conversation with anyone, girls included, is find out what their interests are, then ask them about it. Girls like boys who are interested in who they are and what they have to say. Be natural, be yourself, be friendly. Oh, and a sweet smile never hurts. As for looks versus humour - I always love a guy who can make me laugh!

most of the time I start with HI and no pick up lines like --did it hurt , she answers with what, you say when you fell from heaven because you look like an Angel
