The Kelvin scale is based on absolute zero, which is either -273,-273.15 or -273.4 degrees C depending on which lab you take the figure from.
In the Kelvin scale, 0 degrees K is absolute zero, and then it goes up at the same intervals as the Celsius/centigrade scale.
The Celsius/centigrade scale, however, starts at the freezing point of water (273 degrees K or 0 degrees C) and is based on one hundredth intervals up to the boiling point of water (100 degrees C or 373 degrees K)
In conclusion, degrees in Kelvin = degrees in Celsius - 273 or K=C-273

You have to ADD 273 to the celcius value.
10 degree Celcius = 10+273 K=283 K
0 degree celcius=0+273K=273K

o celcius refers to the -273kelvin temp.so min temp achieved on kelvin scale is -273 not 0.
so for converting celsius into kelvin u have to add 273 in it
this gives us the formula
c=k+273
where c temp in celcius
k temp in kelvin
