Although all the characters of both universes are powerful, I would have to say that the characters of MARVEL UNIVERSE are more powerful than the characters of DC UNIVERSE because:
1. MARVEL UNIVERSE has very well-known strength and unknown weaknesses.
2. DC UNIVERSE has both unknown strength and very well-known weaknesses.

I think Superman is the strongest...he resides in the DC universe. Look, all he's got to do is scavenge the universe for the remainder off cryptonite...destroy what's left of the evil green rock...and the man is invincible!

marvel!!!! they got hulk , the x-men , fantastic four and more. dc's characters are powerful but they are not as united as the marvel characters are.
