most of the time they do but they would never admit to it, and even when you think they are not listening they are actually taking it in and storing it for when it is needed without even realising it.

I am 15 so ive got my parents telling me lots of important stuff i listen ot them but dnt take much notice

Depends on their relationship. I get on very well with my parents and have always listened to them when I needed help.

I think kids listen to their parents only when they have been educated properly... not only with discipline, but with love as well...
