Has there ever been a time where you were just crushed, depressed, or watever the case was and there was a song that just got you through what you were going through??

I was in the hospital in terrible pain from pancreatitis. The pain was overwhelming. I had a Demerol pump, but it just was not enough to ease the pain completely. Anyway I kept trying to daydream that I was in another place and the song "Whatever gets you through the Night" by John Lennon came to my mind. I sang it to myself over and over again while I lay there alone in that hospital bed.

Yes, the song was "Only Time" from an album "A Day Without Rain" by Enya. Other songs on the album touched me, too, but especially that one. I don't know why. I sat in the dark with a bunch of candles lit and listened to the music, and when I finally went to bed I felt better.
