hermaphrodite
In zoology and botany, a hermaphrodite is an organism that possesses both male and female sex organs during its life[1]. In many species, hermaphroditism is a common part of the life-cycle. Generally, hermaphroditism occurs in the invertebrates, although it occurs in a fair number of fish, and to a lesser degree in other vertebrates.
The term "hermaphrodite" has historically been used to describe people with ambiguous genitalia or biological sex. The broader term intersexual is often used and is preferred by many such individuals and medical professionals.[citation needed] However, some hermaphrodites do not like the sexual connotations and misunderstanding of the word "Intersexed" and thus prefer to use hermaphrodite instead.[citation needed] The term is still used by the pornography industry[citation needed], though often as a synonym for transsexual, as true human intersexuals are rare.

Hermaphrodite.
To my kowledge not many people like to advertise the fact that they are hermaphrodites or that their children were once.

The word derrives from ancient mythology, in the story the son of Hermes and Aphrodite (Hermaphroditos) merges with Salmacis a nymph.
She loved him so much that she asked the other Gods that they never be parted...after which both their bodies were joined forever.

Gods were invented several thousand years ago by ignorant men in ignorant times. It was necessary to come up with some explanation for the universe and man's place in it. Believing in a god was perfectly reasonable even a few centuries ago, before most of the scientific disciplines were born. Believing in a god in 2012 is a sign of religious dementia.

The term is hermaphrodite, but as doctors don't like them they try to get the parents to chose which sex and stick to it, this has led to many leaving incredibly sad lives-I think this is an evoluntionary process and should be allowed. Trouble is I think that they are infertile, could be wrong, interesting discussion though.
