1. don't listen to GRANDPA, you get your idea across just fine. i'm sure you speak better english than most americans can speak other languages.
2. i think the bad stuff that you identify as the "cosmic response" to your good intentions need to reexamined and maybe you could interpret as "cosmic pop quizzes" (

There is a reason why there are so few good people in this world and thats because doing the right thing is often much harder than the other options.

maybe you just thought bad things happen when you do good. if you really did something good, or even bad, just have to be ready and be accountable for the result of your action.
