It is an open portal to almost any information you will ever need. Google or Yahoo Search any subject you like - look at the top right corner when connection has been established and you will see how many references there are on the subject you have called for. (Usually in excess of a million). I can't think of any disadvantages of the www.

See, for instance you are asking and I am answering. Isn't that good? Also, you can spend time on the web if you are bored instead of playing checkers all the time. You can play loads of games online and even listen to your favourite music for free without having to pay for a CD that has songs other than your favourites.
