I love the ending in fight club.

Fight Club's ending took me by surprise too. I thought the biggest twist in a movie however, was the ending of Hide and Seek. A must see!

The three movie endings or plot twists which shocked me most were in "The Others," "Sixth Sense," and "The Crying Game." While the first two have supernatural elements, the last movie's plot twist was psychological -- an "aha" moment.

I listed two M. Night movies but now that he's found his nitch it's expected, not only in his movies but directors feel they have to have a twist which most people look for so it lessens the impact. He needs to move on and learn to write screenplays that are truly good and stop relying on double-switches.

The best twist at the end of a movie I've seen is another Edward Norton film called "Primal Fear". Richard Gere stars as a lawyer, with Edward Norton as a boy accused of murder. Fantastic thriller, check it out!

Memento - trippy flick
also, just saw this one last night - Kiss Kiss Bang Bang w/ Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer, good twist.
Another - Harold & Maude - made in 1971, panned by the critics, loved by college students and now it is in the list of 100 funniest movies ever, good twist here too.

Brick. It's kind of like Fight club in that you would never have expected it to end like that. The story is not too predictable, if that's what you're loooking for.
