These were responses to a recent question of mine about the "War on Terror". I assume the respondents were Republicans - anyway, which is right? ARE you safer now, or ARE you under attack?

You can't be both.

Have you ever wondered why is the US so much worried about security issues. The US is reaping what it sowed. The US wants Israel to keep weapons of mass destruction but not N.Korea Iran or anyone else its attitude is always biased and has double standards. Its no wonder everyone hates the US. I have come across a lot of Americans even on Yahoo Answers they always offend and abuse Muslims for no reason and I really get disappointed. People think Osama is representing Islam but actually he's not No one may judge or know a religion before discovering about its true meaning. All u people r just brainwashed! don't u c Wat they do with the poor Palestinians?Ever wonder who gets killed everyday for no reason? and recently they attacked and killed hundreds of Innocent Lebanese for no reason and ur government still backed Israel. At least the US should have been neutral in this case but Ur thoughts are totally biased against Muslims Ur not realistic. A single or few people are not representing Islam. The Qur'an is fully representing Islam. Everyone hate the US because of ur Pharaoh Presidents policies He has labeled Muslims as terrorists. Ur media is creating more hatred. Do u have any Justification for Wat happened in Abu Ghuraib Jail in Iraq and wats happening in Guantanamo bay? u people call urself civilized but ur not.

AS YOU SOW SO SHALL YOU REAP

Bobby D if u eat what u reap ull get a stomach disorder.

I do believe that we live in a fairly secure society here in the USA. The US has a violent society, but we typically don't find bodies strewn across our cities every day. But, even here, we are not without risk from our enemies. If left to expand unchecked, the Jihadist movement will probably grow to be a serious threat, but just how serious, and when, who know's? I personally think that the danger from that corner of the world has the potential to expand from a brushfire to a global conflagration. What is it worth to us to find out? Do we not act and run the risk of more buildings being blown up, or do we continue to be agressive, and continue to spend our troops lives, and piss a good portion of the world's population off? Do we run the risk of Radical Islam growing and growing and possibly becoming dangerously powerful force in the world with millions upon millions under it's control, and the resources to attack any nation they see as an enemy (That would be us ) with REAL effect? Or do we chance it and hope that this does'nt happen? These are questions that would make Solomon himself have a nervous breakdown. I just can't see what the future holds for us. I do think that if we can't find a way to rise above this partisan, politically centered hatred that we have for opposiing views right here in our own society, then the Jihadists won't have to lift a finger, we'll destroy ourselves from within, and it will be both the left and the right that are responsible.
I'm a Marine, and a cop. I don't think that sitting around and holding hands and singing Kumbayah is gonna accomplish anything, so don't interpret my remarks that way. But this BS finger pointing and sniping is just a distraction. We have big enough issues facing this country that anytime wasted on senesless, politically driven conspiracy theories etc... are the height of foolishness.

All right, I'm done. Can I get an amen from someone? Pass the plate, the IRS beckons.

no safer from an outside threat .... no safer from homegrown terror .... much less safe from a govt thats stripped us of our rights and privacies and is building a powerful police state around us threatning our liberty ... after real-id goes into effect and thereafter i think americans will start waking up to the fact that they threw all their cookies to the govt and start wishing they hadnt .... i call on all americans to remember their history and what the founding fathers had in mind when they formed this country and what their greatest fear was ... not terrorism ... not war ...not crime or drugs or anything else but what they feared was a govt that would get too powerful and oppress the people ... these new patriot acts and homeland security aka nazi SS style organizations that pull the teeth from the constitution and bill of rights is the begginings of the nightmare our founding fathers were worried about ... dont think you are being a patriot to the united states by supporting a govt that is against you ... there is no justification for it no matter what they brainwash you with on the tv ... the war on terror is a war against the american peoples liberty to, in effect, assimilate the united states into a new world order or league of nations or united nations... these are NOT your country and the people that run them are against your freedom and way of life ....

Well i am an indain and truely i know better politics so i mthink i could answer that ur truely under best security and the threat is imposed to you because it comes to ur knowledge as fast as possible and recently all attempts are ben nullified from the intellegence security as well as other forces but that's not enough the government should change their way of doing politics and to support what and what not to.Your country is the biggest economy and if ur still running to gain more and more always at stake of anything. u should rethink of then security and yes at older times us policies are not opened too much towards a specific country which make supporters of the other counttry against your country and pls read newspapers of india or pakistan or iraq what security means

After 9-11 I don't think so. This has started a cycle that will be never ending. In some aspects we are more conscience of any attacks, and we should stay that way. We should not weaken our defenses. The moment that we "relax", then the cycle will start all over again.....

as quickly as I used to contemplate myself bi, i do no longer think of it replaced into lots approximately feeling secure because it replaced into basically no longer likely being specific of ways I felt approximately adult men (i'm female). i replaced into examining some thing on the Psychology immediately website that stated maximum bi people do no longer even tell others they're bi, and an identical replaced into actual for me. So i do no longer think of the many times used bi individual feels secure. It appeared to me, and nevertheless does, that bi rather everyone seems to be refrained from with the help of the two heterosexuals and homosexuals. right this moment people think of surely an identical way approximately them as homosexuals do, i.e. they're refusing to come to a decision on, grasping, promiscuous and could circulate away for the different intercourse. i individually think of being a lesbian is extra appropriate than being bi is and that folk evaluate that "alluring" and "well known," besides, yet a minimum of you have "picked a factor." Being gay is worse than being lesbian and can be worse than being bi reckoning on the people around the gay individual (some right this moment people love a gay sidekick or think of gay adult men are exciting; others basically think of they do no longer look to be actual adult men). I actual have additionally observed the style of people claiming to be bi while they do no longer look to be. this is totally distinctive from actual being bi. i do no longer think of the ladies you're speaking approximately are bisexuals, yet, such as you stated, basically want interest from adult men. Like i discussed above, yet another clue, different than attempting to coach adult men on, is the undeniable fact that they are even working around telling people they're bi to start with. except it rather is called for, there is not any reason to be saying it.

We're SAFER now, than pre-9/11

We're not completely safe...yet.

Won't be either if we take steps backward in 2008 with democrats at the helm.

They aren't mutally exclusive, just because you SAY.

You Dems haven't seen any more buildings with aircraft stuck in the side, yet you continue to bash the President and hang crepe.
You're looking more ridiculous all the time. Your party members are about to amnesty 20 million criminals, yet you play word games. Shame.

Here's a thought. Say the left does get control of the House and Senate in 2006 (DREAM ON!). So naturally they will impeach and convict Bush of some BS charge... and then with him gone... CHENEY WILL BE PRESIDENT! So, in other words, the Democrats will BRING ABOUT THE LEFT'S WORST NIGHTMARE! It's so hilarious I can't stand it!

Now, on to your question:

Yes, you can. You can have people trying to attack you, but you can be safer because, until the loony lying left takes them away from you, you have the tools to catch any potential attackers before they actually succeed. Safety depends on lots of things. Even though people are itching and literally dying to attack you, you can still be safe, that is, until the left gets all the terrorists freed, makes sure that we cannot monitor their phone calls and bank transactions, then makes sure they can infiltrate our country by preventing effective immigration reform and border control.

You see, the left knows that this issue is a career ender for them. So they have to talk out of both sides of their mouths to try and get any traction. First, they have to admit we're under attack, as we have been since, well, since about as long as you and I have been alive. Second, they have to get us to forget how many successful attacks were perpitrated while Clinton was President and how little he did about it. Third, they have to get "The Road to 9/11" totally cancelled because it tells so much about what they've been doing wrong for so many years and we can't have THAT this close to an election, can we? Then fourth, and last, they have to make us believe that despite the fact that we have not been the victims of a single attack since 9/11 despite constant open threats of attack from many people including but not limited to Osama binLaden (NOTE that the most recent message from him was a very old tape - and though the Democrats did get traction out of saying "we still haven't gotten Osama", if that's true why didn't we get a new LIVE, CURRENT message from him instead of a tape?), unlike the Clinton years, we've been attack-free not only here but around the world! They hit others, but not us! So I'd say that's pretty conclusive proof that we are safer, if not completely safe.

Being under attack does not mean those attacks are successful, as I think I said before. But if you're so interested in contradictions, look at yourself. You consider yourself an intellectual, I'm certain, yet you clearly don't have a clue. How's THAT for a contradiction?

Anyway, I thought I would do a survey of the types of questions asked by those who agree with you to see if my own personal belief you & yours are a bunch of loony lying losers had any traction. Just for fun I thought I might include some answers in [square braces] also:

Grace O's question:
Does anyone know how to lighten dark brown hair without using lemon juice? [try that Kool-Aid you're always drinking - I hear that works]

Dewdropinn's questions:
What does being bloated means? [It means being full of liberal bullshit]
It's full moon tonight, anyone turning into a werewolf? [only liberals, but they were "loony" already so nobody notices]

Frida pie's questions:
cats or dogs???? [I prefer humans, and female at that since I'm a guy, but you can stick with your cats & dogs if you like.]
Jif or peter pan peanut butter? [Normally K-Y works better, I hear, but then again what do I know - none of my partners needs any extra lube since I'm not gay and they're not 80+ or frigid bitches]

Reba K's Questions:
Our national debt is REALLY $49 TRILLION - not $8.3 trillion - who pays this back and should Bush go to jail? [CONGRESS is responsible for taxing and spending and most of that debt was carried over from when CLINTON was in office - NO THERE WAS NOT A SURPLUS HE JUST COOKED THE BOOKS A LA ENRON - so if you want to jail someone, jail HIM. As for who's going to pay it back, I don't hear any rich liberals stepping up - and the rest are on welfare so I guess it's going to fall to the Right to clean up their mess again!]
Are complex stars like Cruise and Gibson more valuable to society than the ones who don't express themselves? [Who cares? Really, did you have something IMPORTANT to ask? "Complex stars"? SHEESH!]
US Oil Companies found oil deep ocean down in center of earth. If all lubricant is removed will earth shift? [Yeah, sure, you go on believing that. Along the same lines, if you put your tinfoil hat on a little crooked, will you fall over? The center of the earth contains "oil deep ocean"... now I've heard EVERYTHING!]
Who Convinced ABC to make show to blame 9/11 on Clinton? Is that ethical? [Well, first, ABC didn't make the show, a production company did. Second, all they are doing is presenting the facts primarily with a little dramatization thrown in here and there. They accurately portray the fact Clinton did a whole lot of nothing but chase skirts during his 8 years in the White House - what's wrong with that? If you don't believe it, go back & read the newspapers and even go back to all the allegations & accusations from his past in Arkansas and, last but not least, take a look at how Hillary looks & acts... case CLOSED!]

[And as for your comment:
Funny photo - telephone upside-down... IT WAS A photoshop FAKE - the event depicted was just another loony leftie lie]

Schona's Questions [at last a lib who actually asks meaningful questions, even if they fill them with loony lefty lies]:
Why does a newborn need a SSN, if the program will no longer exist when they reach working age? [That's another lefty lie - the only threat to the Social Security program is that the left is blocking any meaningful reforms so it can become a crisis they can blame on the only people actually making any honest proposals to save it.]
Why is everyone complaining about Bush now?Didn't anyone listen to debates? [First, a correction. EVERYONE is NOT complaining about Bush now, only the same idiots who voted for Kerry are. Second, why don't you have a clue or a life - that is the real question?]
Does anyone really sell anything on ebay? What is your favorite way to buy on ebay?auction or buy it now? [So, you beleive e-bay is just a big conspiracy and nobody really sells anything there, huh? Figures. Right after you state nobody actually SELLS anything there you ask how people like to BUY things there... must have not understood that to BUY something it has to be SOLD thus you just contradicted yourself. Don't feel bad, libs always do that when they get nervous after they realize they're out in public and they left their tinfoil hats at home.]

Ajmal's questions:

He asks how one can regrow hair or stop hair loss and if it's possible to get any taller than you are at age 21. [So, to sum up, he's a short, balding idiot who's only hope is some of that oil money or to go blow himself up for Allah and get those 72 virgins... I saw a photo of them... you know, Ajmal, there's a good reason an 82 year old woman is still a virgin!]
