I would say that at a small school - Division 3 - or a community college - you'd be able to develope enough skill to play often.

The bigger the school you attend (football ranking counts too) the better the skills of those you'll play against...and therefore, with very little skill, the less opportunity of playing in any games.

When you do try out for the team...don't give up.

Once you make it through the try outs and 3 cuts - teams cut players in three phases usually (a cut means you didn't make the team) the rest is practice. You'll be on the team, it becomes a question of how much game time you see after that.

Chase your dreams - it's what America is all about.
Have a great time trying to do something you've always wanted.
With hard work and great effort you can do it.
Have fun.

You go for it..If you set your mind to it you can do it. You may not be the best on the team cause you haven't played before..But if you put your whole mind and spirit in it..Then at least you can say I did it. And i was the best that I could be..And never let size bring you down..My son is 10 but he looks like he is 6 or 7 and he went out and showed all them boys on his team what he had and now his coach says he is the strongest player on the team between the 5th and 6th graders he has a great position..So go out there and put your whole heart into it and play some FOOTBALL...YOU GO BIG GUY YOU CAN DO IT..I'LL BE YOUR CHEERLEADER!!!!!!

depends on the position you're going for. If you're going for quarterback, you'd never make it, because they want guys that're at least 6'1". You might have a chance going to community college first then transfering. I don't know about the other positions though, sorry ^^;

Sometimes being short allows you to be more agile. You'd probably make a good reciever, or possibly a running back.
