Color tells us about the temperature of a candle flame. The outer core of the candle flame is light blue -- 1670 K (1400 °C). That is the hottest part of the flame. The color inside the flame becomes yellow, orange and finally red. The further you reach to the center of the flame, the lower the temperature will be. The red portion is around 1070 K (800 °C). The reason there is this variation in a candle's flame color is because air convection pulls the warmer gasses upwards.

Because cold air is heavier, and fall down underneath the heated air holding the flame in an upright position. Hotter air is less dense.

as the candle lightes up the air surrounding the candle gets heated up.the hot air starts moving up since it is lighter than cold air.so, because of that flame also moves up. this is very spontanies process.

Because heat rises and the heat of fire is so intense that it pulls it up and the cold air balances it out. It is the heat around it that makes wax melt (btw) lol
