Why do our governers and polliticians live so lavishly when some of us out here can barely live?why do they live in mansions when someof us have no where to live?shouldn't they live like how we the people are living to see where we are coming from to make the best disicions for us? And why do we vote for the republican party when they are against well fare and helping those in need?because they are the upperclass who don't need wellfare and ****. They think since there living good they don't give a **** about us (the bush family is also one of these families)?

Who said you cant get an education on here!!!
Like any system welfare does get taken advantage of, unfortunately the wealthy business owners are the worst offenders!

The problem with welfare is that people take advantage of it. The Republicans believe that people should take care of themselves. I agree, to an extent, but I also believe that the money should be there for those who truly need it.

Otherwise, I agree with you. Most politicians (that includes the DEMOCRATS, they live lavishly as well. What, you don't think John Kerry has money?) have NO IDEA what it's like to be a "regular Joe". If they ever did, they've forgotten now.
That's why we need politicians who have been farmers, who have worked in fast food, who have done manual labor, and who have been intelligent enough to pick themselves up, and get somewhere in life.
Where are those people?

Don't say Republicans, it also involved the Democrats!! Why do you suppossed when they are running, the spend millions of dollars. Which they''ll never earn? because if they're elected, they are on the gravy train!! Do you really think they care what happens to us? have you seen Katrina on HBO? President Bush did not show until five days, Katrina had done all the damaged! So did all the politicians!!

I don't know if you realize it or not but if you live in America, then you are exactly in life where you put yourself. By your actions, the books you read, and the people you associate with.
I know from experience that if you get a handout then you are less likely to do something about your circumstances. but if you go until it hurts then you will finally stand up and be a man. You will do what it takes to get in life where you want to be! It is only a personal decision. Next time you have an opportunity, take it. don't be so skeptical...and by all means stop blaming others for where you and your parents put you in life.
Stand up, be a Man, and change your out-earn your problems!

Yes, I agree with your point of view.
The republican party is against welfare, and say those people are lazy. Maybe some of them are. Some have learned how to manipulate the system. Republicans do this on a daily basis via tax laws, looking for any opportunity to make a quick buck without working for it. A double standard in my book.
What the republicans fail to grasp is that many of those on welfare are poor defenseless children. So then you republicans out there that say this, what you are saying is you believe in child labor, your nation's children, to fatten your own wallets. Despicable.

For some reason, they think they are entitled to 'earn more income than the average citizen. I believe they do have at times overwhelming schedules, however so do 95% of the nation. I feel that they should change the salary amounts to equal that of an average wage. Which the amount should not be over 35,000.00 pr year.

I wouldn't say the government and politicans live the best at all.
Any good lawyer can live as good or better.
And don't forget celebrities, they live a million times better than anyone in government
so do most CEOs and dudes like Bill Gates, or heads of any big corp.
At least do your homework, maybe then you too can make money instead of just being jealous.

Ding Ding Ding, you just had an epiphany, now go vote liberal next election. Woohoo...another one down.
Politicians live lavishly because they can. Lobbyists give them loads of money and working for the system means you have access to the money-making processes than the rest of the populace.

Now be realistic if YOU were a Governor where would YOU live and how much money would YOU expect to earn for doing the job. Don't expect others to do something that you are not prepared to do yourself. If you were honest you would not live the way you are expecting others to live if given the choice
