I love it and because I used to belong to a Toastmasters Club, I did it a lot.
Competitive debating teaches you to think and formulate fast and "on your feet".

No. I like an open and polite discussion and an exchange of ideas. Although a competitive debate could be constructive and conducive to improvement.
I would like to add that because someone wins a debate, that does not make them right in the context of a sound conclusion. Some people win a debate on style and delivery. People with very good communication skills scare me because they infuence people the wrong way.

yes I do. this is because it gives me the courage to face the audience confidently and i learn more on grammar new words and lots more.
