He stands for "..truth, justice and the American way..." haven't you heard? If that makes him a liberal, then he's in good company!
Fanatics, bigots and other "ultra conservatives" have never understood the purpose of the Constitution... or the SPIRIT under which it was written. It's a shame. I'm sure that their emotions are genuine but they are so misinformed and uninformed on how the demagogues are herding them, isolating them and separating all Americans for the purpose of serving the super rich and powerful that are enriching themselves while they divide us... how quickly they forget that what gives this nation its greatness starts with its diversity and the contributions made by so many people of differing backgrounds!
Look, REAL criminals are not those poor immigrants that come here in search of a better life like all of our forefathers did... they are willing to pay taxes... something that the super rich and powerful don't do... they don't pay their fair share of taxes (they get those tax write offs called "incentives" and exemptions), then they take Americans jobs out of this country to 3rd World Countries where women are paid less than men, children are beaten and forced to work 10-16 hours and not get an education or play like other children and are paid a few dollars a week to work under dangerous and substandard conditions... WHY do you blame the poor immigrants that come here to raise a family and give them an education like your forefathers did? They serve in the Armed Services... how many Presidents have had children in the Armed Services in the last 50 years? How many politicians (Senators, Representatives, Governors, Mayors, etc) have children serving in the Armed Services or have served in the last 50 years?
Superman is only a fictitious character and is probably a liberal, and he would be in good company, too. He wouldn't be counted along with the fanatical sheep spewing mindless hate propaganda!
