I have a catfish that has outgrown my tank. It is about 6 - 8 inches and I'd like to know if any retail stores (petland, petco, petsmart etc) actually would accept my fish in exchange for others. Otherwise I'll have to find someone that will take it. Any suggestions or help?

if you go to a pet shop the owner might buy it from you if it is high quality. and healthy and beautiful. also there is a classified section in every newspaper for pets. you can advertise but it won't be cheap. a cheap way though is to print out some flyers and personally place it in the letter boxes in your neighbourhood. there a lot of people can buy and make sure to place your number.

Place a free classified ad in your local newspaper under the "pets and animals" section. Someone will buy it I'm sure. Just make sure they have the proper size tank and conditions for it and know how to care for it!
