My taiwanese friend had informed that her country is in extreme choas & turmoil.Anyone who wish to visit Taiwan now is looking for trouble.The whole country is very tense & its a sad & shameful case of greed as well as corruption by the president & family that resulted in its worst protest ever.

The protest is supposed to be peaceful and non-violent. If anything, just do not visit the presidental building (in Taipei). I doubt there will be any major riots in any other part of Taiwan.

To demonstrate and to protest is a right for every citizen in modern country. So it's not a big deal and pls take it easy.
I wish i could go and see the protests against the leader, if I could afford:).
Notice that the Chinese Foreign Minister says no comments on this riot, coz it is inner affair of Taiwanese people. The PRC keeps a cold eye on what's going on in Taipei.
The Pan-green guys in Taiwan always think the PRC gov as a devil and label it with RED China, Commie, tyrant or so. It may was 20 years ago. Nowadays the China is more like a kindly farther, treating Taiwan as a son leaving from home for many years. The father does all he could to help with Taiwan's economy growth and would never hurt Taiwan except for its declaration of independence.

Oh give me a break. The KMT did this same thing when they lost the election. They are just a bunch of whiners. The president is not corrupt and is not responsible for in-laws faults.
This whole thing will blow over soon. My family in Taipei don't even notice it going on.
Did the U.S. fall apart when conservatives protested Clinton about Monica Lewinsky? Consider this a parallel.
Taiwan's as safe as it always was.
Now if the KMT ever regain power again, watch your back, because they have a nasty habit of being corrupt and killing anyone who gets in their way.
