First of all are you mixing pigment or light? One system is additive and the other subtractive. The primaries are different. In light, green is a primary. All the responses above are for pigment. Since this is the theatre category I assumed you might also be referring to mixing light color media.

in paint, it takes blue and yellow.
But if you are talking about mixing light, or what colored pixels produce green on a computer screen, green is considered a primary, and you don't get green by mixing other colors.
