I'm 14 years old, but I really look like i'm about 9. I'm told this constantly by strangers, and it's really starting to hurt my feelings. When I tell people my age they get all surprised and tell me I look..well..alot younger. I only wear lip gloss and eyeliner out, both are light.
What can I do to make myself appear more my age, if not, older?

This is in reply to the whole "enjoy your childhood" bit.
It's hard to enjoy my childhood when i'm constantly being made fun of for looking younger. I've gotten messages telling me I look young, not in a good way, and sending harsh comments. I even get this in school. I can't be good looking when I look younger than I really am.
I was at a nail place that my brother treated me to.. This girl told me I looked nine, and I just about cried. I get told this on a weekly basis.

it might be with the clothes you wear..or way you have you hair done....or probably it miht be the way you talk or act,,,the whole deal is don't try soo hard cause only then you'll seem lieka younger kid trying to seem older and not doing much if agood at it.. good luck thou young lady ;)

I'm 20, and I look about 15. You know, there isn't really much you can do right now at your age to look older. You just have to appreciate it for what it is. Hey, when you're 30, people might even think you're 20! Then all those people that tell you that you look too young are going to get very jealous.
In the mean time, just have fun with it. You can get away with a lot! :) Don't be sad.

i know how you feel. i'm 13 and i'm still given kids meals at resturaunts. i don't think i'm quite as small as you but people make fun of my flat chest and when i wear tall shoes they say i'm a poser. and i know someone on my cross country team who is 12 but people say she looks 8 or 9. i think its mean plus shes really shy so she doesn't say anything back. i have tried to be her friend and so have some other girls. i think its cool to be short because you can do stuff that tall people can't do. i can't think of anything right now but there are things that short people can do that tall people cant!
if you want to look more your age, here is an option but it can be tricky. but a paded bra. make sure when you first but it its really small so its barely noticeable. and in a few months get one thats a little bigger but its not noiceable that they are bigger. keep doing this until they are the size you want them, but make sure you don't buy one too big because it will look really unnatural. (i've seen it) make sure you ask your moms permission first because some moms don't want their kids to wear them because they want them to develop at their own pace. so make sure you ask her first. and if she says yes ask her if it looks unnatural, or ask a friend. if your friend is a true friend she will tell you the truth.
another thing you can do to make you look taller is wear a lot of socks. if you wear 7 pairs it will make you about a centimeter taller. or you can wear shoes with a heel or platform. that helps too.
it's hard to be short, but its just something we have to learn to deal with

Babe, you ask a ridiculous question. Do you know how much money does it cost us (women) to buy cream, lotion, powder,..... Just to make us look more younger lul.

mm i dont kno why you would wanna look older!!! it makes me sad to think i wanna be older its depressing! haha but anyways if you wanna look older. you could try wearing different clothes. and darker makeup but natural looking. so like dark brown eyeliner if your tan and like natrual looking eye shadow with your skin tone lip color. not glossy i hate glossy it looks like people put oil on their lips! haha anyways i hope that works!
