Why do you shop for pajamas or lingerie or anything else people in stores have never seen you wear?

I doubt you see them everyday, all day. I wear saree's outside the house normally, and sometimes I wear western clothing inside. Or, if I decide to go out to a place with mostly westerners, i'll wear western clothing as well.
I find it odd that you consider it, "regular" people clothing stores. many people don't wear cropped shorts and tube tops like you might.
