A friend of mine recently remarried a man she met while they both had just seperated from their former spouses after decade long marriages for the both.My friend's new wedding was almost to the same date of her first and they honeymooned at the EXACT same place as she had with her first husband (when she was a poor college student and couldn't afford anything more) which I find disturbing. Any thoughts on this?

Your friend wants to get over her ex-husband. She maybe feels that if she remarried again and spend honeymoon in the same place, she doesn't have to feel the pain all over again because her hurtings from the past are now being "healed" by the joy and bliss brought by her new marriage...you know what I mean?

On the surface it sounds like something strange. But really, there's insufficient information to know for sure. There might be circumstances from the first marriage that are not entirely reprehensible to her. I would wonder what the specific location is that we're talking about - the type of location. She has probably also told you something more about this decision. Maybe she said why she did that and/or her thought process for making that choice. That's the part we'd have to consider before going any further on assessing her. And I wonder how her current husband feels about it.

If the wedding was in June, she may just like being a June bride. Or maybe that date is near another one of significance. Or she may want to replace the old anniversary date with a new one during the same time of year.
Does she really like her honeymoon spot? Hawaii, Rome, Pueto Viarta? Or if it worked for ten years for the first marriage maybe she wants to see it is still good fro the next one.

It is strange, when if she was separted from her old partner, most people would want the weddign and honey money nothign alike, to forget the other person, unless she was still i love with the old partner, but she wouldnt marry another man then. Strange then

It's just her preferences. Why do u find it disturbing? I guess this is what floats her boat.

Kind of strange, but it was her choice.
