Being straight would be a choice also?
If God made a mistake because you are gay or lesbian then He made a mistake if you are straight, white, Indian, African-American, Spanish, Irish so forth and so on.

God does not make mistakes, we are all who he wanted us to be. Any thoughts on this?

Gay isn't a choice. Why would someone choose to be gay? To be verbally abused in the street? To be an outcast from their family? To be beaten up? I don't think so somehow.

Hi Diana, I know you may honestly want to know this, and some of the answers you have received are very good, but I must say, I for one have lived too long and explained the truth too often that this question has now become irritating to me. Please do not be offended by what I say, it's just, as a gay man, I am tired of having to justify my life to everybody. I know you mean no harm, and I do not take the question that way, it's just I've heard it all so many times. I hope some of these answers help, although sadly, you will still hear nonsense along the lines of "not having a strong male presence.....blah blah blah'

With respect

Jon

Gay is not a choice, i'm really tired of people thinking we chose to be this way. It's not easy being Gay, you get rejected, talked about, quoted the bible to and various other things. IT IS NOT A CHOICE, WE WERE BORN THIS WAY!
No body is a mistake, god made everyone for a reason. It's up to us to realize why we're here on earth, each one of us have a mission in life to fulfill, it's up to us to figure out what it is.

I am not an overly religious person. However, I do believe in a supreme being.(God)
I believe my 'God' put me on this earth almost 77 years ago as a homosexual male. I cannot remember being anything different. (Although I do remember in the 30s, 40s and 50 trying my damnedest to ignore it!)
I also know. that I was not truly happy until I accepted my homosexuality. I am now at peace with my God and know that He is pleased with the way I lived my life and that I found complete contentment and happiness.

If God doesn't make mistakes then he/she must be one evil little biatch. Why? Let's take a look down what I am forced to live with. And no I didn't chose this dammit (why would I want to?). Ok so around 7 I found out that being a guy doesn't feel right. That I am more of a girl than a guy. Now more recently due to this I am in a depression. If you still have no clue... I'm a transsexual!!!

I know I didn't choose to be a lesbian. I was born a lesbian. I am who I was supposed to be. If god made homosexuals by mistake don't you think he would correct his mistakes? Well he hasn't so we are not mistakes we are his creation, the he planned us to be.

I'd say that you're right, but I think that allot of people will take your question the wrong way. Personaly, I agree with you. I think God made me gay, and it was on purpose. God doesn't make mistakes.

Yes you are correct but gays can live as straight as his choice if he can resist the sexual urge with same sex! It is a matter of discipline but if your heart is really gay and pretended to straight, you are fooling your choice because the feelings of human cannot be dictated,it is an instinct and until now, nobody knows why gays are existing even they tried so hard to become straight!

Yes, God never gave us a chance to choose as to who we wanna be. Gays were born to be gays. Lesbians were born to be lesbians. But this is where God comes in. LGBTs have to consider their being as a blessing and not a curse. We all have a purpose in life, we just have to know what it is. After all, it doesn't matter, at least to me, if you're an LGBT or not. What matters is what's in the heart. Have faith.

We get our race and nationality from our parents but our sexual preference is something we dont have a choice about.
I was born lesbian and am proud to be lesbian.
Its all ive ever known and its all i ever want to know.
If it was a choice .......... why would anyone choose to be gay when there is such a bad connotation to it?
Why would anyone choose to be bashed and discriminated against?
