i dont think that is possible. what we owe does not necessary have to be in terms of money.

Sam is right on with her answer concerning her parents. I also feel sometimes just a smile and a hello from a pleasant person in the supermarket can make your day. I feel indebted for a simple word of kindness. Some who take every thing for granted may get to the point that they think they don't owe anything to any one. They are usually the ones who think society owes them and think they should have it handed to them on a silver platter. Oh . . . how wrong and miss guided they are.

Yes. Suppose you were the only child of a single mother who took you to live in a cave, totally isolated. You never met anyone else. She taught you to catch food, and whatever else it took to keep you alive. Then she dies. You bury her. After that you owe nobody anything.

No. Because everyone owes their mother for having bought them to the world after suffering for nine months puking, heaviness of body, unablity to walk comfortably due to swollen feet and the final painful and worse than death labour.

No. If nothing else, you owe your life to your parents. If it wasn't for them, you wouldn't be here.
Although, I don't think they deserve to hold that over your head... the whole "I gave you life so you have to respect me!" thing. But that's a whole different story.
