im a big becks fan myself and feel that he has done well for eng over the years but i can see wat mclaren is trying to do by introducing the attacking gerrard on the right flank. i think gerrrard will contribute towards the attacking flair which eng lack at the moment. also the central midfield combination of gerrard and lampard is not compatible bcoz both r attacking players and like to get forward which leaves a large space in midfield. hargreaves is the right choice for holding midfielder (its not difficult see why man utd r after him). the presence of hargreaves allows lampard to move forward more freely. in fact lampard did not score in world cup bcoz eng did not have a holding midfielder. with the pacy lennon being an impressive replacement for gerrard becks eng career looks over

He got no skill with the ball, can't even tackle anyone without being the player down and giving a foul away every time.
He not much of a captain for the team.
He might be good for dead balls at times, but he needs other skills to. England have better players than him that have everything that needed for a football player. We wouldn't miss him at all one bit, so far England are doing well without him under the new manager.

Aplayer(in this case Becham) is usually dropped bcoz he does not fit into the game plan of the team. Becham after his dismal performance in the World Cup deserved to be dropped. There is young talent in England. We cant sacrifice all that for a man way past his prime. Our goal is to win and Becham is not gonna contribute to that.
sorry, if u are a becham fan. Well, im not.

He is just a status symbol and a chancer . He is not a good player at all. The English team will do far much more better without him.

Because Mclaren actually has the balls to drop him.
Beckham hasn't been worth his place in the team for a while now, many fans recognised this but Sven didn't.
With Beckham gone englandhavea much better balanced midfield (though personally I'd like to see lampard dropped, gerrard in the middle & lennon on the right) and more than one point of attack.
With him in the team he wanted to control everything, making it easy for the opposition defences - stop Beckham and you stop England.

probably because he is the most over rated footballer to have ever lived. a decent footballer yes but definitely not world class. he cant pass to feet he cant tackle, cant head and cant use his left foot i think that just about sums him up. mind you he can change hair styles regularly if that qualifies you to play for your country

because when the european championships come round in 2008 beckham will be well past it so mclaren has decided to get rid and start with the younger players who will be at their prime in 2008

the dropping of beckham has impending. mcclaren has shown he's just as spineless as eriksson by not dropping lampard
fact is, beckham was never a world class player. could never run past a man. could never tackle. could never head. had no speed or skill. and wore women's clothes
