Very true. No one wants an employee who is too much of an idiot that they cannot form a proper sentence or give a presentation without knowing how to speak clearly or project ones voice.

Quite simply, those who have the ability to interact well with others and convey their points in a clear matter will get ahead in the workforce. They prove they are better able to handle customers, etc.
