It was a tragic loss of life and a shock to the nation.
I personally was more shocked by Katrina and its aftermath. I think Katrina did more damage and wrecked more lives than the attack in NYC.
I also do not think that an escalated war in several countries was the right response. We have stooped almost to the level of the terrorists with our secret prisons and torture. It will take us a lot longer to recover from our response than from the actual attack.
I hope at least some people will be praying for peace on 911.

Sad day. I think I'll be putting the flag outside and might donate to the 9/11 Memorial.

Who doesn't? My sister never calls that early in the morning but she did that day to tell us a plane hit the world trade center. She knew my ex was from NY....we ran downstairs to turn on the tv and wake up the kids......then saw the other one hit........my other sister called me screaming that armagedon had arrived, the US was under attack and her husband wasn't saved......yeah, shes always a been a freak.....but then we saw all the chaos....brother in laws wanting to get into the city and their wives begging them not too.........Seeing the Pentagon hit.........all the planes forced to land.......all the fighter jets taking in the air......Army helicopters flying low over our housing area all hours of the day....and everytime we heard them I went outside....they were keeping an eye on all the crop dusters around here.........

It was a terrifying time and it isn't over.
