i have a iPod mini, if that makes a difference...

that actually juss hapenned to me and all you have to do is plug your ipod into your computer and let it fully charge and update itself and it should be back to normal... thats at least how mine worked.

You'll need to give more details, but I think I know what you mean:

There's a song on one of your Playlists, and the iPod just skips that track. So if it's Track 2, iPod goes from Track 1 straight to Track 3?

That is because it cannot find the physical mp3 file that the song refers to. You may have deleted or moved it by mistake.

Just replug your iPod, find the ACTUAL, physical mp3 file, and drag in into the same Playlist. You should see it being copied over - it will go from grey to solid black. Click 'Update iPod' on the menu, and unplug.

So a song keeps playing and doesnt turn off. And you would like to song to STOP playing. Well, you can break the ipod, which there are plenty of ways that could be done.

Or.. You could just reset it by pressing the center and the menu buttons and holding.

Whichever option you like...

turn the hold on and off and on again... hold the middle button and menu button down until it resets
