I do not think that they can. They are not an alternative to either of the main parties and people can see that. They are a lost cause. The whole reason a lot of people are turned off by politics is because basically all the parties are now the same. Everyone believes in free enterprise and understand that taxes need to be kept relatively low in order for the economy to stay strong. Therefore unless the liberal democrats drastically change policies to offer an alternative people will either not vote or just stick with a slightly left of centre or slightly right of centre politics.

by showing the public that they are a real alternative to the penny pinching labour lunatics. if they make some realistic and achievable promises to the british public, and outline (honestly) how they will achieve these promises then i think that they will have a good chance of turning heads and collecting votes. its not difficult to take advantage of the problems engulfing the labour party... they are a sham and they are showing their true colours and being swallowed up by their lies.

I don't believe the British Labour Party supports Tony Blair anyway. The Prime Minister has overstepped his authority like Bush has in America. I sure remember when Margret Thatcher had you Brits starving with unemployment years ago, I don't think you want to return to those policies do you?

They can not, conservative is still strong and second with little difference with Labour..we need a new decent party run with some intellectual who really love this country not just some additional foreigner secretaries to the US.
